The Lodge: Herdade da Copinha.

The lodge is one hour thirty and minutes away from Cascais and is located deep in the Alentejo countryside. The small white walled village of Arraiolos is famous for its carpets and castle and is just ten miles from the lodge . Some of the best wine tasting in Portugal is within five minutes drive. For those who want some five star accomodation there is a spectacular convent that has been converted into a hotel, we can arrange discounts.

The lodge itself has six rooms which can be made into double or single bedrooms. Behind the gates of Herdade da Copinha there is six hundred hectares at your disposal. Available activities include horse riding, hunting, wine tasting, tours of the area and walking. Many people come just for the seclusion and relaxation. A good meal, some wine and only the sounds of the wild boars rustling around the vegetation combined with bright stars and a roaring fire place are what many guests enjoy most. During the day there are spectacular views over the Alentejo. Animals include wild boar, deer, rabbit, partridge and quail. This is a great place, a world of its own and revitalises the body and mind.
